  • A very beautiful castle on a picturesque rock bottom smells like's little dog, but for this you can move quite freely in the open-plan rooms.

  • The castle is well preserved and one feels transported back directly to the middle ages. The guide was informative, but also amusing, so that our two children had fun. We ate in the castle for lunch. The food was really tasty and great ambience. A successful trip!

  • We were in the region to the walking on the road and visited the Castle Berwarstein. The very beautiful, much still in the original castle with underground passages is a ideal and rewarding destination for families with children in the region. Admission for 2 adults and one child was 13,-EU. be worth that. Gladly, we therefore recommend the Castle Berwartstein.

  • Would have been 5 stars if we could have gotten the English tour. Luckily we had a translator with us and we did a little research before we went. I suggest reading stories about the castle before you go wiki or Google.
  • We have made with Saturday the last tour (October 01, 2016, about 1630 am). After five minutes I regret it already. The leader was quite arrogant and they clearly felt, that he has no desire. Then one shouldn't however be. The food at the Buschenschenke is ok, it took but about four occupied tables quite long.

  • Nice ambience in the Knight's Hall, great Flammkuchen. Unfortunately, a lot was going on on the day of our visit. The first part of our order a Tarte Flambée came after 20 minutes, the second part, also a Tarte Flambée came after 25 minutes. A real pity.

  • Beautiful, well-preserved castle with very good and interesting guide that also for children from approx. Four is suitable. Was an experience. Only parking is bad or poorly signposted.
