  • An ancient fortress with a fantastic view of Erfurt. Unfortunately partially smeared and not fully restored. Central invites a park to relax.

  • Visit the Citadel is always worth a visit. Within the walls there are underground tunnels, wine tastings in the ambience of candle, a museum with interesting items, but also above ground a wonderful views of the city with its many church towers. Also the green spaces all around invite to the picnic. A maze behind the Defensionskaserne is a mystical place with a special radiance. The monks of the monastery of St. Peter's mountain have used this place especially.

  • Super easy to get. Just follow the Sun until your stairs start. It's really loud and you can see whole Erfurt It's nothing * awesome *, however the view of the Dom is amazing.

  • There is a guided tour of the castle every day at 1730 hours. Very interesting and you get to visit the lowest and very dark parts of the castle.
  • Is always a trip worth! A guided tour of Peter mountain through the catacombs is very interesting. There are also special children's tours with flashlight. Maps and schedules are to ask for information in the tourism industry.

  • Sightseeing excursion destination in Erfurt's old town. Offers super views over the Cathedral and the Cathedral square. A leadership in the defense of the Citadel is always worthwhile. Also a walk along the wall offers many things to do

  • It is surprising, how extensive is the area on the Petersberg. Some very appealing renovated, partly but also still ahead and verfallend. After the hustle and bustle in the old town but also a bit dead-looking place is a quiet. Very nice views of the city. Café in a somewhat surreal-looking building on stilts.

  • The climb is worth. Beautiful facility, very spacious. Great views of the old town. A guide provides interesting insights into the Interior of the Citadel and fortifications.
