  • The Museum in the heart of the city offers various exhibitions on three floors. Currently runs a special exhibition on the theme of icons, which is worth a visit on the top floor. Among the icons, there are mainly exhibits from Russia, which were kindly donated to the Museum by the icon Museum in Frankfurt.

  • The House has an appealing collection of works of art, in particular of craft objects. Below there are two – very small – rooms with medieval art. Earlier one larger room with paintings from various centuries. And just a fairly extensive art Department. The suspension of the collection of paintings has not opened up to me - seemed a little like a St. Petersburg hanging.

  • For this museum you should bring some time, because many objects don't open up pre-accession wandering. The Department of medieval art opened no new areas for those interested in showing some beautiful objects. The Heckel-space opens like for the visitors, you can shoot! The furniture, doors and wall paneling with wood inlaid excite me again and again. There's some special objects (E.g. old door in the Council Chamber?) The painting is worth a visit.

  • Beautiful paintings and exhibits with very unusual hanging. Recommended to look at anyway. However, a significant deficiency is the AufsichtsPersonal. It is not really friendly.

  • Old building very comprehensive contemporary modernized. The paintings in the main exhibition on the 2nd floor are focused on local artists, suitable for a City Museum. Some familiar names are still to see. Changing special exhibitions. Recommended.
