  • Natural landscape with restaurant. Very nice, especially if there is a concert, the acoustics are fantastic. The highly recommended restaurant. In autumn, the range of colors of the landscape is spectacular.

  • We were here for a business event and were allowed to use therefore different premises. All very impressive. Great atmosphere for the presentation of vehicles. Meals during the day was already excellent. Evening in the Hayloft (Klosterschänke) enjoyed a super great 5-course menu with very good Riesling. Still a "guided monastery tours surprise" incl. wine tasting (5 x Riesling) may be carried as a crowning conclusion. Here, you can learn much about wine but also about the monastery and its 'film history' from the name of the rose. Our guide, a Swedish-speaking Finn - no, she talked really german a very likeable accent - designed leadership very very entertaining with funny anecdotes. Absolutely for the recommendation.

  • Visited in 2012. I recognized parts of the Abbey from the movie "In The Name of the Rose!" Wonderful experience walking the paths of scenes in this really good movie! I was floored to learn the histories of this beautiful Abbey and Vinyards! Just beautiful!
  • The guides were great. Beautiful place and well worth getting the English guide if it's available so you can learn about the history of this place!
  • Beautiful monastery with great wine. They're known for their Riesling. Just wish they had tours in English (you can book private tours at $50 in foreign languages).
  • Just a great place to see and visit. You must try the audio tour. Worth it. Full of wonderful history. At least a couple of hours to see it al.
  • A very old former cloister turned a venue for weekend relaxation and leisure events. Great concerts during August Rheingau Music Festival. Vast variety of amazing wines can be tasted and purchased at the Wine shop.
