  • We were for a few hours there and looked about us. You get an idea of how was lived there previously. Now we need to look to be sure again "The name of the rose", which was filmed there partly. We did unfortunately no guided tour with wine tasting, we would like to do that when visiting other.

  • We visited the monastery of incl guide end of September and it super well liked. The lead is not a bargain, with €23 but it was worth, who saw the name of the rose, now gets additional information, where what was filmed. We find it is most definitely worth a visit.

  • A wonderfully simple monastery. Much to see there, thanks to the modesty of the former residents, however, the entire system is very nice!

  • Just a great place to see and visit. You must try the audio tour. Worth it. Full of wonderful history. At least a couple of hours to see it al.
  • The Abbey here is absolutely beautiful and a must do if you're in the area. It certainly doesn't hurt that they make and sell wine! They filmed interior scenes from the Sean Connery movie In The Name of the Rose here. Watch the movie before (or after!) you go for a fun treat.
  • The guides were great. Beautiful place and well worth getting the English guide if it's available so you can learn about the history of this place!
  • Beautiful monastery with great wine. They're known for their Riesling. Just wish they had tours in English (you can book private tours at $50 in foreign languages).
  • I bought 2 bottle of Klostter Eberbach Riesling at the beginning of August. It was really delishes wonderful wine. So I wander if the Abbey will impress me as mach as the wine and I didn't disappointed at all. We where on our way to Frankfurt Air Port and the visiting in the Abbey was grand finale for our tour of wine and the colored autumn leaves in Alsas, Rhineland and the Shwartzwald.
