  • The monastery is just outside the village. It's an old monastery which is very well preserved and restored. The complex also features a good shop of the monastery and a good restaurant

  • From the pretty spectacular location, "the name of the rose" was filmed in, it could make mE more. We were meeting there as part of a small team, but we did not care virtually around us. If it is the first time on the site, it is very vast and confusing. The signs don't really target leader. The rooms are convenient and have charm, naming you are looking for a Secretary of the meeting but to no avail. Time and nerve-racking ask around is necessary, a pity! Meals are self-service during Conference breaks. This is pragmatic and also ok. Cold and hot drinks, fruit and snacks are available. Lunch and AbendEssen is served in a restaurant just walking away. Service is attentive, the selection on the map but manageable. Quality is okay, nothing exhilarating... The room is appropriate. All in all okay, but has potential for more...

  • This large monastery impresses with the preserved and restored buildings. Đie rooms and the buildings are so closely related to the earlier monastic life, that you can literally feel the energy of the spiritual life. You system is well maintained and offers many things to do. Absolutely worth watching, if also the entrance fee is a bit high.

  • Visited in 2012. I recognized parts of the Abbey from the movie "In The Name of the Rose!" Wonderful experience walking the paths of scenes in this really good movie! I was floored to learn the histories of this beautiful Abbey and Vinyards! Just beautiful!
  • The guides were great. Beautiful place and well worth getting the English guide if it's available so you can learn about the history of this place!
  • Beautiful monastery with great wine. They're known for their Riesling. Just wish they had tours in English (you can book private tours at $50 in foreign languages).
  • Just a great place to see and visit. You must try the audio tour. Worth it. Full of wonderful history. At least a couple of hours to see it al.
  • A very old former cloister turned a venue for weekend relaxation and leisure events. Great concerts during August Rheingau Music Festival. Vast variety of amazing wines can be tasted and purchased at the Wine shop.
