  • An interesting Church of the 19th century, a very balanced Baroque, it is worth to stay here a short while. Supposedly an interesting music program

  • The Duesseldorf love their "Max", have resisted it in the 19th century successfully a demolition. The church services with Orchestra and choir (usually on Sundays at 10: 00) and the organ concerts (Saturdays at 11: 30 am) are an absolute highlight. Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Robert Schumann was here in the 19th century for the music. Heinrich Heine went to the neighboring Franciscan school. The former monastery in the cloister includes a bistro. Recommended for a cup of coffee, all meals or even to turn off. Every month, there are tours through Church, monastery and subsequent management of organ (organ of 1753).

  • The former Franciscan church, built in the Baroque style, affectionately called "the Max" is a three-naved Hall church of brick, in the vernacular. The late Baroque church of the part was destroyed during the second world war. The reconstruction was carried out until 1964. Today the Church of Max is known nationally for their sacred music, both classical choir concerts as well as organ and orchestral masses are given.
