Oberkassel, Dusseldorf

(4.3/5 based on 170 reviews on the web)
Look at Dusseldorf from a different angle at Oberkassel, a neighborhood chock-full of Art Nouveau architecture. This neighborhood preserved its early 20th-century character largely because the Allies ignored it during World War II. Admire several notable architectural beauties, such as the Neo-romantic St. Antonius Church and the Evangelical Resurrection Church, both built in the early 20th century. Shops, restaurants, and beer gardens abound. A visit to Oberkassel represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Dusseldorf itinerary maker to plot your vacation.

  • The area is well maintained, has good restaurants and shops. The people there are more wealthy, with SUVs and expensive handbags. This of course also means that the average age is also relatively high in comparison to the younger more modern areas. There are however very nice neighborhoods near the river Rhine.

  • Here it is really alive, with good bars and restaurants, with nice shops. Elegant but not too, just alive and beautiful.

  • I walk on the Rhine or run. Here, buildings are very comfortable. Each time, there were different feelings when I went here. Especially when the sunset is. It is recommended to visit once here!
