The complex covers an area of 6,800 sq m (1.7 acres) and contains more than 475 animal species. The collection was donated by chemist Theodore Loebbecke in 1904 and was consolidated with the aquarium in 1948. In the aquarium, revel at rare fish like piranhas, sharks, and snakes.   • This is a stop on the Hop on/Hop off bus but the Aquazoo is closed for renovations. Driver never mentioned this fact and let me get off in the rain. Luckily there is a nice cafe in the park just right...  more »

  • We visited the aquarium, it was an unforgettable experience!!! We saw terrific, rare fish like pirancha, sharks!!! We walked in an artificial rain-forest, right above a crocodile pond!! I mean, it was...  more »

  • I went there and it was clossed. I searched for this in internet (homepage) and there was no info for renovation and lost 6 euros for parking ticket.
  • Tried to find if the renovation was completed, but nothing in Internet nor on the phone
  • The Aqua Zoo is a must and worth multiple visit anyway. Not only fans of fish and the mammals living in water, but also insects and reptiles come fully at their own expense. Particularly on the heart can Sunday, where the Aqua Zoo still closer to nature the visitors with a special program. Changing to get closer on spiders, beating, scraping, or other animals.

  • Wonderful Institute for families and animal lovers. The only zoo in Düsseldorf and thus also the most beautiful :) You can experience much and much to learn. The animals are fascinating. There are guided tours behind the scenes that are very exciting. Up to the 21.9 unfortunately due to renovations closed, but on the 22.9.2017 is opened again...
