  • A Museum of contemporary art... that risk, as the Cologne Ludwig you pack or even you intrigue and you convert to the attraction of these strange works initially by always obvious to appropriate. But the place is so magical and harmonious!

  • We took advantage of the complimentary evening on the first Wednesday of every month. Very well maintained and really enjoyable. Many paintings of great value and interest. Too bad that there is a map of the Museum and that there are no explanations near by to the paintings.

  • Can't believe we almost overlooked this art gallery; it doesn't get the publicity it warrants. It has a huge tick list of German expressionists and American 20C artists. Well presented to show off eac...  more »

  • Very good art collection. Upstairs is where the Picasso/Matisse etc is. Staff are very very annoying, as they follow you round and start getting annoyed if you look at a painting too close! I felt at some points I wasn't able to enjoy the art as they were putting me off! Apart from that absolutely amazing museum, worth the money for the art!!
  • Great art collection, is sadly under construction now. 09/2016 deserves 5 stars when fully operational, now it has Gursky and some other stuff put aside rather randomly. Staff slightly snobbish.
  • Went here last week and really enjoyed it. Some very interesting artwork to see. Was an excellent bit at the top where you got to walk around on netting (to explore life "in the clouds"). Certainly worth doing, but not if you are a bit afraid of heights... Really friendly and helpful staff too, not to forget a great cafe to end the visit on!
  • Great permanent collection and exhibitions.
  • Great Museum with many changing exhibitions and nice solid collection. Close to the old town and also for a detour in between to recommend. Who has fun at art in Düsseldorf should create for themselves the card of kind of, which gives free admission to many museums.
