Konigsallee, Dusseldorf

Nicknamed the Ko by the locals, Konigsallee is the busiest upscale shopping street in the country. A landscaped canal runs along the center of this urban boulevard. Fashion showrooms and luxury retail stores stretch along its sides. High-end stores and small boutiques dominate the eastern side of this stretch, which is some 80 m (262 ft) wide and about 1 km (0.6 mi) long. The district's offices, banks, and five-star hotels hold court on the western side. Enjoy a gourmet meal at one of many trendy cafes and restaurants on both sides of the boulevard. • Nice walk, along the water, beautiful and poepchique shops in the neighborhood, even the less expensive brands happy.

  • Except for the part of the Park and the sources, I think that you there's nothing. A luxury shopping street, Yes, but without the charm.

  • ... but ultimately also relatively unspannend. Clearly, the KÖ is part of Düsseldorf. And you should have been there clear. Ultimately, it is not really impressive... Hold a beautiful landscaped Boulevard with established designer stores shopping... For snacks, & food you should stop a few meters further. Here pays you the location and reputation of the solvent clientele, but gets even more below-average quality

Where to stay in Dusseldorf

The Old City, Altstadt, is the center of the action and offers a number of hotels and guesthouses. For quiet evenings and a view of the Old City consider the Oberkassel/Niederkassel area on the other side of the Rhine river. There is inexpensive accommodation in the Unterbilk area near the university, along with a collection of bars, restaurants, and cafes.
