Classic Remise Düsseldorf, Dusseldorf

4.7
#1 of 13 in Museums in Dusseldorf
In an industrial area in an old locomotive roundhouse, Classic Remise Düsseldorf--a combination of living museum, parking lot, and service center--houses an extensive collection of vintage automobiles. Admire the vehicles in the collection, as well as many privately owned ones on display, or peruse those that are for sale. You can also find clothing, model cars, accessories, spare parts and even garages here, too. Second only to its partner location in Berlin, it is an excellent destination for auto enthusiasts. Admission is usually free, except during special events; check their website for conflicts with your intended visit. • We opted to go here as the weather was a bit rainy. Huge museum - a former train shed/turntable building. Inside are some absolutely stunning cars - both for sale and being stored there by their owner...  more »
  • A large collection of all hand cars and otherwise fun. Upon arrival it was to search for the car park at the parking lot begins the fun already. Once you are inside the silence on, you can calmly take a look to all the beauty. The collection consists mainly of Ferrari's but also other brands out there. Definitely recommended if you are fond. People who do not really versed in the automobile world will especially miss a piece of explanation at the cars. For me, it was the first time and I'll definitely be back.

  • Changing collection of all kinds of luxury and rare cars. Cars and motors are for sale, hence changing. A must for the enthusiast. Building is magnificent, entrance is free. Also motorcycles and scooters.

  • A great collection of classic and rare cars. Some are for sale. It worths a visit if you are around
  • Interesting place. So many cars. Free entrance
  • Not that big deal but still is some thing nice. A combination of classic and some times new cars which mostly are for sale! But one can recommend to see at least for once!
  • What's not to love about classic cars. Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes, Lamborghini...they have it all for the public to look and if , you're rich enough, to buy.

Where to stay in Dusseldorf

The Old City, Altstadt, is the center of the action and offers a number of hotels and guesthouses. For quiet evenings and a view of the Old City consider the Oberkassel/Niederkassel area on the other side of the Rhine river. There is inexpensive accommodation in the Unterbilk area near the university, along with a collection of bars, restaurants, and cafes.
