Transport Museum Dresden, housed in the historic Johanneum museum, displays vehicles from all modes of transport--including the famous Saxon Muldenthal locomotive from 1861, which holds the title of oldest original German steam locomotive. The attractive building dates from the late 16th century, when it was a stable and coach house for the adjacent Dresden castle. Its permanent exhibition area includes sections dedicated to railway vehicles, cars, trams, bicycles, motorbikes, air travel, and sea travel. • Roused us Member of our group, as Professor of physics, and finally we went 19 people! Delicious the same Museum building, in the heart of the city and next to the Frauenkirche. It has a very long and interesting collection of means of transport, with particular emphasis on wagons and public vehicles. It has interactive activities for younger guests, a beautiful small souvenir shop to watch or to relax.

  • This museum is a must for families with Kinderrn. Here is something for everyone. It's all about bicycles, car, aircraft and trains. Anywhere short explanations! Super there are several stations where they could be active (Fahrradparcour, build paper airplanes, ships and more) family ticket cost €18 (2 adults and up to 4 children)

  • This is a quite good museum, especially for kids. Many different kinds of "transport" items, as expected (cars, boats, trains, and planes). There are many items you can touch or try - what makes kids interested and involved. There are attractions for little ones and for teens. I don't think an adult would be much impressed by the museum collection but as a family it worth 2-3 hour visit.
  • Really nice museum. Its free of charge at sundays. Full rout is short - about one hour but worthwhile
  • Wonderful place to visit. Museum has a lot of exhibition showing the history of different transport development. You can buy tickets and upload the free museum guide at the reception desk. There are a lot of interactive things for kids as well.
  • Very cool museum. It has some interactive pieces too. Entry was free of charge the day i went. Totally worth making a visit.
  • Amazing exhibits, lots of interactive stuff to do - plan at least two hours with kids.
