Kunsthofpassage, Dresden

4.5
Step off the main street into Kunsthofpassage, and enter a magical space that transports you far from the city, at least for a brief moment. Five small courtyards make up the area, a project completed in 2001 by a small group of artists and architects. Wander through the group of quirky, colorful buildings, each with its own style. Stop into an alternative restaurant or cafe along the way, or pick up a handcrafted souvenir at one of the little workshops. Check online for events. • Certainly an eclectic and "Bohemian" court. Restaurant charming, nice desserts. Small menu. Artwork is unique. Look for Cow on sign to enter court if your Getman is limited. The area of Neusradt in...  more »

  • An imaginative redecoration of the facades and courtyards of several circa 1900 working-class apartment houses, the Passage offers a view of Germany's "alternative" lifestyle.  more »

  • I have seen this house many times in Internet a long time ago, and here I am here personally. It was interesting to look on it, but it was a pity that I had no chance to hear these any sounds. It is located in a very unusual place, which I could advise to visit not only for the sake of this house. There is a small network of courtyards strewn with small shops and cafes that will appeal to those who enjoy an artistic lifestyle.
  • I think seeing these buildings was one of my favorite parts of being in Dresden. It just looks really beautiful and interesting, also makes for a nice picture taking spot. The area has a bunch of cute little stores around it as well. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
  • an adorable place, be careful not to get lost in that wonderland! I didn't want to leave those buildings, I even wished it rained to see the rain playing the trumpets! so colorful and crazy. it's a must see!
  • A secret place in the guide book. We found it and enjoyed walking through looking at all the art work. Truly different with many small interesting shops and places to sit.
  • Really funky with great cafes and wall art and strange fixtures. Was 37 degrees when we went through (for US folk that's HOT) so we didn't linger but what a lovely twisty find!
