One of the last and most impressive buildings of the Roman Baroque epoch, Katholische Hofkirche can be seen from all over the city. Its sandstone edifice is covered with fine architectural details that make its exterior distinctive. The bulk of construction on the buildings wasn't completed by Germans, but by Italian builders, architects, and a sculptor. The interior white walls and gilded altar are majestic and echo the grandeur of the outside and the Baroque observance of elegance. Visit during a service to enjoy the chapel's acoustics. Excellent outside as a part of the Ensemble in the area, very beautiful, but rather boring interior. Try the Frauenkirche for a wonderful interior! more »

Interesting church. Sightly and worth for 5-10 minutes to spend on viewing and taking some pictures, if you are not far from this place.
White and gold interior. Beautiful in both summer and winter. Wonderful to see so many at mass on a week night. All are welcome although naturally the service is in German. We came in quietly out of the cold.
I have no words for this place... Just Amazing!
Unbelievable experience! Thank God for all this beauty..
Despite as a restored building, the architechure properties is impressing, with details to individual statues that lined the top of the building. It is an artwork and heritage of the area. I particularly liked the scene at the exterior area where we can see the intersection of the building and the clock tower.
