Gasthaus Am Neumarkt, Dresden

(4.3/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
After being wiped out in the firebombing of World War II, Gasthaus Am Neumarkt was partially rebuilt in a socialist Realist style by the German Democratic Republic. After the German reunification, however, the area began to be restored to its prewar Baroque look. Today, the area is characterized by the same gabled houses and ornate facades that stood here during the Renaissance. Enjoy a stroll through the cobblestone square, where you'll find great shopping and dining in the shadow of the ornate Dresden Frauenkirche church. • the Neumarkt is the highlight of the city of Dresden, many small restaurants of course with the Church of our Lady, and to other attractions of the city, you have to see this

  • Partly still under construction ( hope it will be done in within the old towns architecture), animated during Xmas and after with decorations, music and drinks/ food from the Steigenberger hotel Fun

  • Last week we were with colleagues there for supper and it was all very tasty, and the service was good. A guest we had special needs, for health reasons and the man is meet. Super

  • The service was very nice, the location and the food were good. The ambience has potential, e.g. music would be nice. Otherwise recommended :)

  • The decor is very traditional and we were only expecting nothing really good. The service was very friendly and the fact that she had to ask what we had ordered, twice had not disturbed also. The food however was very good, priced in order and it had very good taste us.

  • We had 2 prior soups which were taste very good, but unfortunately only lukewarm. It had continued during the main course. This time, a meal was lukewarm. It has been claimed. But ab rather than to serve this new, purely in the microwave and then raised. It doesn't belong to. The second main dish - a Sirloin steak - medium was ordered and arrived rare. While the main dishes were served to us, I ordered a drink yet. I get this as the main course was virtually eaten (approximately after 15 minutes). This is just way too long at a local capacity by almost 50%.
