Deutsches Hygiene-Museum--a popular location for events, exhibitions, and educational programs--is also one of the most popular museums in Dresden, with more than 280,000 visitors per year. The Human Adventure exhibit is a permanent display that follows the human race, health, and the body through its long evolution, as well as questioning health's role in culture and society. The children's Museum of the Senses continues the adventure with interactive displays that give children an appreciation for their senses. The remainder of the museum houses more than 45,000 items relating to health and body awareness, all enhanced by temporary exhibits that look at social and scientific issues related to the body, such as What is Beautiful? and War and Medicine. Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Reviews
This was an interesting museum, not only for the special exhibit about race, but for the interactive exhibits. more »

We have seen a number of museums like this that are based on an exploration of the human body and human nature. As such, it was well done, but certainly not novel. Had we known this, we would have tak... more »
Fascinating in every way about the human mind and body. This original exhibits are still beautifully explicit, and the modern ones are all based on cutting edge research too. We spent hours in this museum instead of going into the cold wet park as planned. It's situated right next to the park and has a very good restaurant for lunch too.
The museum is really interesting and it also has many participative activities. The entrance fee is fair. The special exhibition about racism was also really well set up covering past and present. However, in the museum, more English translation is needed to welcome people from everywhere. Many information boards are only in German.
We visited the kids museum there and while worth the time and effort, our experience was ruined by the restaurant staff. It was mentioned self service lunch was available till 2.30pm and we enter the restaurant at 13.50. We ask if we can sit down and at first the answer is yes. After a few minutes the waitress comes back and says the ‘manager’ says we can’t stay - even if we had 40 mins. We were 3 adults and 2 toddlers, a 3 year old and a 2 year old, hungry and thirsty - thrown out! We were in time, it was decided we shouldn’t stay there for unknown reasons! No empathy, no service, and rude staff.
Nice place to bring your kids. There's this 'museum' about human senses where these are well explained to kids by experiments they can do.
Very interactive museum that teaches you a lot about the body, mind, emotions. Cool temporary exhibit about racism. Go early to enjoy the museum best
