Nicknamed "the balcony of Europe," Bruehl Terrace offers superb views of the River Elbe. Take a walk down the terrace to admire the historic buildings and picturesque surroundings. Pause near the Johann Friedrich Böttger monument to look for a fingerprint in the guardrail of the terrace garden. It is said to have been left by August the Strong and to be proof of his strength. Pop into a cafe, sip a coffee, and watch the mix of tourists and locals walk by. Bruehl Terrace Reviews
Очень рекомендую неспешно прогуляться здесь: виды открываются потрясающие на другой берег эльбы. Многие приходят сюда встречать закат more »Highly recommend a leisurely stroll here: stunning views to the other side of the Elbe. Many people come here to celebrate the sunset
Great views along the Elbe and looking back at some if the architectural beauty of Dresden. Went once during the day and again at night. But to much construction work going in at moment but still beau... more »
One of my favorite places in Dresden. especially at dawn, when there is still some daylight and the street lights are on, it’s a wonderful scenery! more »
The beautiful Elbe river in front and the historic old buildings on the back, the vast green bank with soothing greenery on the other side of the river; this place is breathtaking in every season, every weather, and every time of the day. The terrace has many places to stroll or sit in sunlight as well as in the shadow of trees. The terrace is surrounded by beautiful sandstone buildings, the historical and architectural marvels. It's a great attraction point for an architecture enthusiast. The river bank has ports from where you can take ferry rides up and down the river. There are also some places to eat and drink with outdoor seating and nice views.
Get up here and witness another proof to why Dresden is called the "Florence of Elbe". Breathtaking sights to the streets along the Elbe river, accompanied with several old beautiful buildings along the way. There are many touristic restaurants here. Be careful picking a place to eat.
We recently spent a few days in Dresden and found the famous Brühl's Terrace a nice place to see even during the winter months when the trees which line sections of the terrace bare and devoid of leaves. Brühl's Terrace stretchs along the south side of the Elbe, separating the river from the Historic City Centre. It is an architectural delight with statues, park benches and open space to stroll above the river, all backed by delightful historical buildings. Views of the Elbe and across to the other side of Dresden are very nice - even if less appealing this time of year. Given the relatively small area where most tourists will concentrate their sightseeing time, it is easy and convenient to pass by Brühl's Terrace, during visits to Dresden. You can easily pass by before or after visiting Neumarkt or the Palace. Note: During December the Frauenkirche Xmas market runs along the street which passes below and through the Brühl's Terrace. This is a elevated position for taking nice pictures of the Xmas market below in the direction of Neumarkt.
Very nice views of Dresden from this place. Getting to thw terrace is full of stores, restaurants, etc. Some kind of boulevard
I love this place, very relaxing walk. You can also see the Elbe bridge. I’m so in love with the trees, it’s harmonious with the place.
