Bruehl Terrace, Dresden
(4.7/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web)
Nicknamed "the balcony of Europe," Bruehl Terrace offers superb views of the River Elbe. Take a walk down the terrace to admire the historic buildings and picturesque surroundings. Pause near the Johann Friedrich Böttger monument to look for a fingerprint in the guardrail of the terrace garden. It is said to have been left by August the Strong and to be proof of his strength. Pop into a cafe, sip a coffee, and watch the mix of tourists and locals walk by. Put Bruehl Terrace on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Dresden vacation generator.

  • Stroll to the Centre of Dresden is difficult to ignore Brühl Terrace, or as it is also called balcony of Europe. This is the kind of point view of the city, but not worth going there come in travel watch, if you want to fully enjoy the view and get walking on the terrace is a real pleasure

  • Just go there, spend minutes or hours contemplating the architecture of the amazing building or just watching the tourist boat in the river. Amazing and beautiful
  • Even if it is only a day or few hours in Dresden, there should have been and have enjoyed a walk. You can get a beautiful impression of the "Florence on the Elbe". The funktiooniert of course best in clear weather and sunshine. If you so can choose e s, you should consider that.

  • The balcony of Europe. That’s the nickname they give Brühlsche Terrasse which is a beautiful place to take a walk. This used to be the city’s fortifications, leading from the Academy of Fine Arts all the way to Schlossplatz where the city’s main gate is located. I caught some artist doing their thing on the steps at the end of Brühlsche Terrasse. I suppose this is a good spot to plant yourself for a picture perfect view of Dresden’s castle district.
  • Great for an afternoon stroll along the river Elbe. Quite touristy, the views clearly don't only attract locals.
  • Great place to hang out and enjoy a little bit the contact with nature.
  • Very nice view on the Elbe River - Drinking beer on the benches is the best thing to do on a sunny afternoon :)
  • Wonderful terrace, wonderful view, but as well too many strange people...
