  • The Park is suitable for a long walk for recreation. There's a nice Pflanzenschauhaus with exotic plants. Panels inform the Park particularly interesting points regarding the nature or mining. Colonial looks somewhat in the years come. I find the very beautiful park deserved even a rebuild.

  • The Romberg Park in the southern Dortmund is a botanical jewel. Everything almost years 200 ago, when the owner of Castle Brünninghausen along English lines create a landscape park has started. The lime tree alley and some Blutbuchen on the eastern shore of the pond date from this period. The Gatehouse at the northern entrance of the Park is only preserved building of the Castle, the old Icehouse is fenced for years because of its dilapidated state. The Botanical Garden and a huge, artificially created Morr - Heath is located east of the alley. Then a beautiful valley with numerous rhododendrons. Here in this area can be found also very tame squirrel, which can be feed with a little patience from the hand. On the way to the Dortmund Zoo, you will pass to the greenhouses with the restaurant orchid. Has it happened the Zoo (or visited), you will be able to assume the way back to the North entrance on the East side of the watercourse and the pond. Here one finds evidence of mining activity, ferrous springs from the depth does not freeze even in winter. The Horse Creek, which feeds the pond in which swamp cypresses grow comes from the East. Here you can put back the way through the Woods above the broad Valley, thereby avoiding the large number of visitors who walk on the main road.

  • I'm very happy in the Romberg Park. I am disabled and looking for rest and relaxation from the stress of everyday life here. Even now in the winter, it is very quiet and it is almost alone, because pedestrians are hard to see at this time. And it's even free. There is something for everyone.

  • Really beautiful park with open water and botanical gardens. The gardens have a cafe for tea, coffee and snacks. I went on Sunday and there were many people there. Really enjoyed the walk.
  • Many natural views and big trees
  • Beautiful park for a summer day. Nice views. There's also a zoo here. The zoo costs money, but you can chill in the park and have a picnic for free. Beautiful.
  • Big park , very clean and green :)
