  • As the name implies, the door gives access to the city by crossing the river Wörnitz. The door with hewn stone reliefs of the time of Staufer, is the oldest of the other ports. Beautiful view of the city and the River from outside the walls

  • Composing with the wall and the other 3 doors the most important and emblematic architectural ensemble of the city, the Wornitztor is the oldest and is situated in the main access to the same. The visitation of the walls and Gates is must-see.

  • is ...der on the bridge over the Wörnitz. Here we find the oldest gate of the existing gates. He was probably built in the Staufer-era. In the 14th century it was expanded in the Renaissance with a Bell Tower. At the Tower, you can see even the Imperial Eagle, which means the character of the Imperial immediacy.
