St. George Church, Dinkelsbuhl
(4.4/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Pick a sunny day to climb the 220 steps to the top of St. George Church, which offers sweeping views of the city and the surrounding area. Considered a masterpiece of Gothic architecture from the 15th century, this church is one of the city's main landmarks and a major tourist attraction. Located in the heart of town, the core of the building was constructed sometime in the 1400s, adding on to older structures that already existed in this area. A tall tower was meant to be built at the northern end of the church, but the ambitious plans had to be put aside due to a lack of funding. The church was eventually extended to an old tower already in existence, once a freestanding structure just to the west of the main building. • ...erbaut in the years 1448 until 1499. Inside the Church with a cross Vault is the baptismal font which are carried by high pillar for me is impressive, but most of the time without water. Also the Gothic canopy over the pulpit is worth a visit.

  • In the middle of the beautiful old town, the Cathedral presents St. George at his best. The Gothic building striking outside as well as in terms of the inventory in the Church. And there's a free organ concert on Friday at 14:00. No go!

  • St George's Cathedral (Münster St. Georg), located in the main square of the town of Dinkelsbühl, is a beautiful example of late Gothic church of the 15th century which testifies to the richness of this town at the height of its importance in medieval times. The Interior remained the original one from the end of the 15th century, it contains the remains of St George, and Nice are both the pulpit the baptismal font supported by Lions. You can climb (surcharge) on the cathedral tower to enjoy a beautiful view of the town.
