  • There were church, Botanical Garden, wedding Memorial Tower and various facilities. On foot from the city center, 15 to 20 minutes. Take bus line number "f" at Alice hospital, walking from the bus stop is 1-2 minutes.

  • The Mathildenhöhe is without a doubt a beautiful and impressive Art Nouveau ensemble, we can only recommend. But if you want to learn something about this particular architecture, you should book not the tour "With Martha about the Mathildenhöhe". This tour is suitable for people who like to read the "golden leaf" and Ernst Ludwig and his Eleanor with Alexa and Nikolai interested for glamour and gossip of the late 19th century, so the crowned heads who were House Hesse in conjunction with the. -Fortunately, "Martha" had then but still the key to the House, where the Academy for language and poetry is today (House Deiters by J. M. Olbrich?), so we could again throw the time to hear at least a look in one of the villas of the artist colony without an explanatory Word to arts and crafts in their Schürzentasche. Too bad for the time and money, soon then that is "Mathildenhöhe" with a proper Guide.

  • Just outside the village of Darmstadt is a hill (hohe = high) dedicated to Maud on which an artists ' colony at the beginning of the century 900 has didiso to leave a mark of their passage. Really recommended for a ride in the beautiful art nouveau district and visiting the Museum of Jugendstil. You can't leave without seeing the small Russian Golden-roofed Chapel and Tower of marriage always crowded by brides.

  • The Mathildenhöhe is probably the high point of a visit to Darmstadt. The Mathildenhöhe offers much education thanks to the artist colony. And the environment is very harmonious and calm. Stylishly built buildings are strung. Recommend a visit to Darmstadt.
