Originally an early medieval castle, Dachau Palace and Court Garden was partially destroyed over time. What remains was redone in Baroque style between 1715 and 1717. Visit the interior of the castle to see the magnificent wooden Renaissance ceiling of the main hall, then take in the views of the gardens and Munich beyond. Save some time to wander the extensive gardens and perhaps enjoy a slice of cake with some coffee in the veranda cafe. • Although the gardens are nice the palace itself is very small and really not worth the effort of visiting.
  • Beautiful garden and precious also views that there is from the Palace, Munich can be seen! In the Palace there is a nice cafe which make some cakes buenisimas! The visit to the garden is free and can be accessed from stairs that are on the terrace.

  • Many years ago we have let our wedding pictures in the castle gardens, the location is still very nice. Especially when the weather is great, you have a perfect view over Munich in the Alps. The castle garden is well worth a visit.
