  • Small church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Very pretty, with the whole altar carved in wood, full of history. You pay 2 euros for the entry. Outside are the graves very well looked after, which looks more like a garden. Worth a visit while touring the romantic route.

  • A little outside of Creglingen, see one of the greatest wonders of the world of religious art, the Virgin Mary altar carved in wood by till Riemenschneider. This artwork will take you the language, some come the tears... and also the other altars - baroque altars with paintings are very worth seeing - and also the Lutheran Church itself. Without exaggeration one can say the longest way well worth the Tauber Valley. Go out and be amazed - even if you are not religious bound. You are touched.

  • In the rather little-known small town stands outside the Centre (South) this featured church with four altars. The most important of which is now more than 500 years old of Mary's altar by Tilman Riemenschneider, probably his main work. This important work of medieval sculpture impressed still with its overall design and delicate implementation of illustrated stories. In contrast to the usually crowded, restive Rothenburg o. d. Tauber (nearby) is quietly here - and you can enjoy the unique combination of wood and sunlight. Parking spaces available.

  • Truly one of the great experiences of late medieval European art is contained within the un-assuming Hergottskirke. Enter and be transported back in time!
  • The chapel from the outside it doesn't look special, but once you enter (and paid for their ticket, 2 euros each), there are at least four altars carved one more beautiful than the other, of which the best is undoubtedly the main altar of the assumption, and only slightly less than the crucifixion.
