Along the semicircle are hotel chains and boutique accommodations that offes ready access to the city center on foot or via a short metro ride. • The cathedral is breathtaking. The shrine is very interesting. Have a guide tell you the story or read about it before you visit.  more »
  • Make the effort to go all the way around the altar to see the shrine. If nothing else, it's a good story and apparently the reason they started building the cathedral.  more »

  • The structure is amazing, the detail in the masonary is exceptional and you stand looking in stunned silence. The building is so tall it makes you wonder how they built it so well and so tall in the 1600's. Very little mention of the bones or the shrine.
  • Amazing! I was totally shocked by the huge, tall and gorgeous building…
  • Comparable to the Sagrada familia in scale and architectural complexity
