  • The old church to religious art museum intact. Exhibition of Christian sculpture, ornaments, old publications, medieval religious art. My interest in the things to see none at all.

  • A very interesting Museum in Cologne. Here collected religious art since the middle ages. The collection was gathered from many churches, very interesting to see how the changed image of the same Saints at different times. Different styles of the era, ways of perceiving the saints are very well presented, interesting to see it all. Because the collection of various ages gathered in one place, it turns out very clearly observe the evolution of the perception of religious scenes and figures. During our visit was also thematic exhibition of relics of Saints, collected from different churches where the power came from the Crusades. The exhibition is worth to visit and spend a few hours there.

  • By chance, since this museum right next to the new geöffenete ethnographic museum is located, we went in just out of curiosity. The Romanesque Basilica is St. millstone as the site of the schnutgen Museum at the nearby Cologne Neumarkt. The exhibition includes Baroque d. eras from the early middle ages through d. until the 19th century. The Museum due to the stock of his collection and his research is considered significant the middle ages Research Institute and is considered one of the most beautiful and richest collections of middle ages in Europe. Interesting but not a must. ;)

  • Well worth the price of admission (which wasn't high anyway), this is a well curated collection in a beautiful setting. Impressive display of stained glass.
  • Great museum dedicated to religious art. Awesome collection.
