An interesting gallery. Nice collections in a good space. Worth a visit if you are in the area with some free time.
The premises are not open until November. We wandered their yesterday 14/10/14. So check by phone first before going in case of delay. Connected to Mr Cake not well signposted.

The Academy of media arts is located opposite the entrance. The space is great and because it was not crowded, (neither art nor visitors) the enjoyment of art for us was almost exclusively and very relaxing. A real insider tip.show original
Inga FischerI know the Gallery from the time she was in the Belgian quarter, in a backyard in the Ghent road. There are happenings in the 1990s always great exhibitions and art. To the vernissages met the "young art scene" today artists such as Rita Rohlfing here or Thomas Baumgärtel (banana sprayer) gathered here for the opening. The Gallery has given the opportunity at that time young artists, to exhibit here and thus the exhibitions were often controversial and gave lots of conversation. Meanwhile, the gallery in the old town South is located and the exhibitions are still exciting and worth seeing. The works of the artists who exhibit are definitely affordable.show original
Waltraud GingerOn Facebook, I have read from the gallery and at my last Cologne made me stay on the way there. Works of art are presented in a room in the basement of a residential building. The room exudes a tremendous peace, the walls are made of brick, which was painted white and so the exhibited works come to the effect well. Small objects will be presented on simple wooden pillars and for viewing the work, there is also a small bank where you can sit to make work so works. The work of artist are priced definitely affordable. In any case, the Gallery is worth a visit.show original
Claudia LangenbachThe room alone is "Pure art" and the exhibitions are taking place there from time to time are well worth the visit. The art which is exhibited there is great and exciting the vernissages. The Gallery is somewhat tucked away on a backyard, right across from the Academy of media arts. .show original
