#12 of 17 in Museums in Cologne
For a chance to spend an entertaining and educational day at a site designed to be enjoyed by the whole family, visit Odysseum, a science center and adventure museum opened in 2009. The site's elaborately designed theme areas cover about 5,500 sq m (59,000 sq ft), allowing visitors to become adventurers and discoverers of great scientific ideas. Don't miss the center's new interactive science game, opened in 2013, designed to let visitors of all ages combine fun and learning on a journey through science and history. The game starts at the beginning of life on our planet and, in a playful way, takes participants into the future, presenting them with exciting possibilities in science and technology. Check the official website to explore current exhibits, special events, and all ticket options. Basically, the Museum is a really great idea and especially offers a lot for children in the primary school age. Our are worse, so much was not so well suited. They had fun anyway. Less funny is the value for money however, because with over €50 you can expect already, that the individual devices are maintained. Much was defective or was not refilled. The toilets are not child-friendly, although the Museum is aimed at children. The food in the restaurant was not good and cleanliness where borderline. We have not used the exterior because of bad weather. Conclusion: All right, for elementary school students probably even very intetessant, unfortunately too much out of operation for the expensive price of admission.

My four-year daughter and I have spent here great, instructive hours. The staff has been very friendly and motivated. We definitely come again!

We know the Osysseum since its inception and have been totally disappointed there was even a Go-Kart track, now Museum mouse there once was a bicycle course, reserved now for birthdays, there was the possibility to kick disastrous restaurant - food distribution, unfriendly dishes cars dirty, was not cleared away, dishes on the Earth after rain were not wiped down tables and chairs in the outdoor area, although staff walked out movies already seen additional admission for ice age , although not particularly large

  • Excellent, interactive science museum with various themes and lots of hands on stuff to do and some 3D cinema/live shows. Sometimes they have special exhibitions. Plenty to keep all the family interested although very young kids might bore easily. You need a certain level of German as not all of it is available in English. Loses a star for the restaurant that was quite poor and very pricy.
  • Quite expensive, but great for the kids. Sometimes, you can find a great deal through Groupon. More than half a day is usually too much for the kids.
  • Its nice to be here to see all cologne as panorama view
  • Very nice place to explain kids about science and instill interest in how things work....
  • Excellent kid's science museum with loads of interactive activities. Highly recommended. Parking available (underground) at 1€/hour (2016).
