Hohenzollern Bridge, Cologne

(4.3/5 based on 2,000+ reviews on the web)
At 409.2 m (1,342.5 ft) long, Hohenzollern Bridge serves as a major crossing over the Rhine river. Nearly 1,200 trains cross the river here each day, making it Germany's most heavily used railway bridge. Wander across the Rhine for sweeping views of the rest of the city on both banks. You can't miss the famous Cologne Cathedral. Be sure to look for the many "love locks" adorning the bridge railings. These fairly new padlocks are supposed to bring hopeful couples good luck. The original bridge was destroyed during World War II. The impressive metal structure you see now was built in 1948. • 是個取景的好地方,在河的左岸有條人行步道,哪裏可以拍出如明信片般的照片,橋上也有許多情侶在這裡許下終身,希望他們幸福長久  more »
  • The bridge is already quite impressive. After I often went on travel by train in, we ran it this time. The views of Cologne is quite impressive, to the alstastadt as well as on Deutz. Also very entertaining the many locks of love on the bridge and the subsequent interpretation are the two with the failed or elaborately decorated castles of the world were saying in part. Definitely worth a visit.

  • The look of this bridge is similar to the Darling Harbour bridge in Sydney...It has a strong historical background when it is built. A romantic place for lovers!  more »
