  • You think that the Germans celebrate not November 11 (the date of the armistice of 14-18). And not well! November 11, is the opening of the Cologne Carnival. And the old town (very nice by the way) becomes a big popular fair with hundreds of stalls selling alcohol (beers...) and festive snacks (rolls.. sausages). The Germans disguise themselves and consume a lot of alcohol, dancing... However, stores remain open for those that are interested! :=)

  • The center of the (old) Cologne is very worth it. Lots to see, always busy, many outdoor cafes, shops, museums, ... The si more than worth it to spend a lot of time here.
