  • Celle's old town is very interesting. Several hundred half-timbered houses which have been lovingly restored kidnap one in past centuries. During advent, it's especially beautiful with many lights. The Christmas market is not necessarily one of the most beautiful, but at Christmas time. The old town itself can completely admire themselves due to their size (CA. 300 m long and 200 m wide) and a few, but clearly structured streets a day.

  • We have visited the St. Mary's Church in Celle in connection with a concert. The altar and the old baroque organ are gorgeous to look at. The Baroque decoration of the Church is subject to while the pulpit is to associate the Danish Italian influence. The 74-metre Tower can climb up and offers visitors a magnificent view of the historic old town. With a little luck, you can listen to the brass bands in the morning or evening hours when playing.

  • Guidades in the Church by local guide. She told me about the history of the Church and the importance of the town of Celle. Interesting. Beautiful church and now for Christmas was a Nativity scene placed in front of the altar. Well worth a visit. The lady who works in the Church speaking Swedish, which was a pleasant surprise. If you have difficulty with English, she can inform.

  • Climbing the tower is certainly worth the view you get on Celle and surrounding
  • The climb is a really queasy feel but the views are terrific. You can overlook the old town and see much further.

  • Nice, friendly older Lady takes 1 EUR for the Tower visit. Rose exciting, views, weather great! There are holes in the security fence for the cameras. Should have seen each time.

  • A climb of the steeple duty should be for every visitor. The rise is an adventurer of which one with a magnificent view on the Castle and the old town rewards.
