War and boat buffs will want to see U-Boot Wilhelm Bauer, an exhibit where you can board and explore a World War II submarine. This craft is the only surviving submarine of the German navy of the time period. Most areas of the sub are open to exploration, and you can experience just how little space the men had here. Descriptions are offered in English. Keep in mind that navigating the small spaces may be difficult for visitors with mobility issues. U-Boot Wilhelm Bauer reviews
Brilliant - a tour of a world war submarine in its close to perfect condition. We love it and so will you. more »
Great representation of the close quarters when working on a submarine. Do watch your head and watch your kids closet there are many things that could cause injury. more »
It's worth a visit. Price is 3.50 eur and all information signs are in German and in English. It was interesting to see how the crew lived and worked on board during the war. more »
You only get to talk through the top deck of the Sub, but for 4€ it was a brief but fun experience.
You can learn old type of boat and ship including submarine. Good to take photo.
A nice place at Bremerhaven. A submarine which could not be utilized during the second world war is kept here as a museum. One can go inside and have a look at the German engineering marvel. There are other marine vessels also kept as a part of the marine museum. A must see place in Bremerhaven.
Photographers who love details of old machines will loose there hours.
Adults - 3,5 €; seniors and school children - 2,5 €, but You can enter inside this metal beast and see some features like cut-through torpedo; historical & technical facts, some models and info; rear torpedo launcher, old photos - completely for free ! I strongly recommend this place for weapon / WWII enthusiasts 👍👍👍
