Schnoor Viertel, Bremen

Must see · Landmark · Tourist Spot
Schnoor Viertel has managed to retain much of its medieval character. If you stroll along this neighborhood's narrow streets, you can admire houses dating back to the 15th century. Don't miss the Schifferhaus, a well-preserved building constructed in 1630. The Landhernamt used to house the authorities administering the State of Bremen. Various shops sell local handicrafts, such as wooden toys, decorative doorknobs, fabrics, glassworks, and homemade candy. Once you've worked up an appetite exploring, consider stopping at one of the area's fish restaurants. Put Schnoor Viertel at the forefront of your travel plans using our Bremen attractions site.

  • Great series of little streets and alleys with nice shops and restaurants. The Christmas store is really lovely. This is a really nice area to walk through, some of the houses have dates on them from the 1600's. The shop windows are nicely decorated and make window shopping fun.

  • This small, original harbour village in the middle of Bremen is as packed with history as it is with modern convenience. From tourist items to culinary delights, art to beer, Christmas to chocolates, a delight for all with time on their hands to explore and indulge.
  • Really cool little area. Pretty busy and not alot of space to manoeuvre but worth a look round
