Museen Boettcherstrasse, Bremen

Categories: Art Museums, Museums
Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web
On a street adorned with Brick Expressionism architecture, Museen Boettcherstrasse is one of the main attractions of the city. The street's entrance is marked by an arch with a golden relief that depicts the "bringer of light," a symbolic interpretation of the Fuhrer from 1936. The site is now a protected monument, and its collective architecture is still remarkable for design. It's better known for its multiple art museums, bars, and restaurants than its connection to the Fuhrer. The carillon of Meissen porcelain bells at the Glockenspiel House is a major attraction. Its chimes will accompany your tour three times during each day of your visit. • At o'clock point and from the midday they sound these accompanied by the turn of the carillon of the surrounding facade ceramic bells. In this latter there are allegorical bas-reliefs to the discovery of America and the pioneers of transatlantic travel.

  • I don't like the Böttcherstraße. If that is... a medieval Street? It affects about me very artificial, little authentically.
