Built in 1405, Bremer Ratskeller holds court as one of the oldest wine cellars in Germany--and features the world's biggest selection of German wines to go along with this distinction. Though just a tavern for many years, it now houses a gourmet restaurant in the cellar, where you can indulge in many local specialties. Settle in for the cozy, historic atmosphere, and take advantage of the huge wine list. Especially in higher-traffic tourist seasons, you'll want to make a reservation as far in advance as you can. • Centrally located, location, nice atmosphere with many quiet corners, great must see when visiting Bremen's excellent Weinkeller...ein!

  • This is an address that is worth a visit if you go through Bremen. The framework is remarkable, especially the cellars and the card is excellent.

  • We ordered never table when we thought it was too expensive place to honor. But the venue was very special and worth seeing in itself.

  • Advertised as a wine-cellar, but serves few, average red wines filled in a bad glass next to bad food. Got served a full to the brink and spilling glass of wine. Overpriced with arrogant unfriendly waiters. Not reccomended
  • Wow, what a beautiful space. You don't have to have a reservation for here, you can walk the amazing rathskeller and take a table in back if they are available. I have the roulade and it was great. I've had better flavor, but the beef was cut and cooked to perfection. The food came out before the beer, which was disturbing. The dessert--fruit jelly with vanilla custard--was mind-blowing. There price is right, too. Roulade, dessert, a .5l beer, and a coffee was 27EUR. Service was acceptable, but not great. The waitress was friendly and spoke great English, but she was swamped all by her self and was inattentive because of that. If the service was better, I'd rate 5/5. This is a must see restaurant!
  • We found this place on Tripadvisor and I can confirm it was very good decisions. Staff is super professional and friendly. They all speak fluent English and the food is delicious. I cannot forget to mention that the restaurant itself looks beautiful from the inside.
  • Delicious food and a pleasant environment. For sure a place to be back.
  • If you travel to Bremen at first, you should come to this place and spend some time here. Waiters great support conversation with you
