  • In Braunschweig were at the end of the tour the day Lower Saxony. This day was December 26-just after Christmas. However, in a number of towns Christmas markets still worked. Including Braunshvege, on the central square, near the Braunschweiger Dom. Majesty of Medieval Gothic architecture mixed with ease. Nuts in sugar, Christmas gingerbread, hot sausages and mulled wine at Christmas mugs-against the backdrop of the Braunschweiger Dom monumentality.

  • It is always nice to see in the DOM no matter whether only the walls, candle holders, or an exhibition.

  • The mighty Cathedral St. Blasii is like an oversized duplo block near Braunschweig's new City Hall. The Church is with its enormous Windows and almost rock solid walls difficult to form an impression of, and you feel quite small in its presence. The Church is built of the city's great hero, Duke Henry of Saxony, as local went under the name of the lion. Nicknamed to him, according to legend, because he owned a lion and reigned over the city like a King.

  • Beautiful church in the heart of Brunswick. With two pastors and the largest choir of in Germany, as well as an interesting history and many cultural events, the Cathedral has much to offer.
