  • Who are interested: the Romanesque Collegiate Church of Henry of the lion with its Gothic wings is always a trip. The high Gothic Imerward cross, the candelabrum and the original frescoes in the high choir one should miss while visiting Brunswick not.

  • In the middle of the city located a sight that a lasting impression leaves. Very well the written instructions in many languages for the visitors.

  • The dreschiffige Basilica built in the Romanesque style is strict and clear. Inside, one finds Gothic and other style elements, changing thhe original form over the centuries. Worth seeing are particularly the works of art from the 12th century as the Marienaltar, the tomb of Henry the lion and his wife Mathilde of England, Evangeliar Heinrich d. Lion, the candelabrum and the Imervard cross. Many dignitaries and Welf are buried in the crypt. It's worth down to get off. However the tomb of Henry of the lion itself is rich - bad, an abomination from the 3rd, but what I want to do...

  • The mighty Cathedral St. Blasii is like an oversized duplo block near Braunschweig's new City Hall. The Church is with its enormous Windows and almost rock solid walls difficult to form an impression of, and you feel quite small in its presence. The Church is built of the city's great hero, Duke Henry of Saxony, as local went under the name of the lion. Nicknamed to him, according to legend, because he owned a lion and reigned over the city like a King.

  • Beautiful church in the heart of Brunswick. With two pastors and the largest choir of in Germany, as well as an interesting history and many cultural events, the Cathedral has much to offer.
