  • The history is a must for all visitors of Bonn, who are interested in history, politics and society of in Germany since 1945. The Museum has in its permanent exhibition a fascinating tour through the history of West Germany and East Germany after 1945 and the Federal Republic of Germany in 1989. Also events of recent history will be taken up. Also children are fascinated by the Haus der Geschichte, because there are sooo many exhibits, it comes very close. E.G. a raisin bombers, a plenary hall with original seating, the limousine of Konrad Adenauer, a cinema in the 50s style and and and. Museumspädagogisch a prime example! Dire Holokaustfotos are exhibited in high cabinets that are not accessible to children.

  • The Museum offers a huge permanent exhibition on German history, starting with the second world war, which is pretty exciting and very well made up to the fall of the wall! There is also always a changing, temporary exhibition to more specialized topics that have to do but always with German history. An example is about the processing of German history in film and television.
