  • The House where Beethoven was born, is a museum dedicated to the composer, but does not maintain the features of how it was when he lived there (expect to see Beethoven's room, the kitchen, etc. to see how was everyday childhood of the composer). But it is an interesting site, having a very well tended garden outside and a souvenir shop. Are stairs, which makes access of elderly people, I don't know if I have an elevator for wheelchair.

  • Nice to see his home once again. You can make nice pictures, is located near the shopping street. We were there on Sunday and then the museum itself was not open.

  • Impressive to be in the place where Beethoven was born. If you like classical music, you should definitely enter. The price is very affordable, the leaflets of each place of the Museum are very clear and in several languages. It is an economic Museum, finish flexible hours and 45 min.

  • Very educational and interesting. Best if you can join with a guide. Sometimes they offer free guided tours. Worth a visit.
  • Excellent collection with sufficient information without being overwhelmed with details. The interior has an authentic feel to his house with the renovations performed. Articles on display include many instruments and portraits/ documents with information. For 6€ it was not bad!
  • About the Beethoven library next door: absolutely the best music research experience I've had. The staff was knowledgeable and above all, marvelously helpful.
  • I arrived with the intention of not going in but just to check the place out due to the poor comments below But yes, I ended up visiting the house. I was attracted by the sign at the door which states "free guided tour" though I am not sure if this is just for today. I paid €6 for entrance and enjoyed the tour. The floor was indeed 'very creeky' as described by other reviewers. I initially felt that it highlights the 'historicalness' of the house. But after awhile, it started to be slightly annoying as a mere weight shift would cause a creek. Saying that, I feel that it is still worth the visit, especially if you are a Beethoven fan! The staffs who were working today were pretty friendly and they even provided each one of us a microphone so that the guide doesn't need to shout (not bad for a free guided tour).
  • Really nice experience. 6 euros for an adult seems a reasonable price. Though if you don't speak German you will miss out on a lot of information.
