  • It's a very nice building situated in a very quiet environment, as all over Bonn. It's worth the visit.

  • Bonn old city hall is the seat of civil government for over 700 years. Clemens August, elector and Archbishop of Cologne from 1723 until 1761, on 24 April 1737 laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Town Hall in its current form. The entire Court and the representatives of the town were present, the civil guard paraded and 12 Cannon shots based the celebration on the marketplace. The electoral court architect Michel Leveilly (1694/95-1762), who lived and worked since 1717 in Bonn drew up the plans. After Frenchman, Leveilly of origin considered "good Bönnischer Builder". Several prestigious buildings in the town were built by him. Only the Koblenz gate and Graurheindorfer Castle are still preserved beside the Town Hall. In the year after the laying of the foundation stone of the 29 Oktober1738, the Bonn City Council for the first time held a meeting at the new town hall. The building at the time but was not completed yet. An insufficiently filled city Treasury postponed many works. So, the wrought iron jewelry lattice of the staircase was created until 1765 Pfeiffer by master locksmith. On 18 October 1944, nearly all the houses on the market burned down after an air raid. The old town hall, only the exterior walls remained standing. At the front, the coat of arms and the elector's Crown survived the fire. 1949 was the Rococo building on the Bonner market so as to times of elector Clemens August presents the reconstruction started - and today itself. Today "princely" can be married in the old tapestry room. Very nice ambience.

  • Any German city is the Town Hall. There are such and in Bonn. A small elegant building in the Baroque style, located at the market square. And not far from the Town Hall is located the Beethoven House Museum.

  • A good place to stop by after you went to Beethoven-Haus. There is market with fresh bakery, fruits and vegetables. Bring some for your next destination on your trip. It is Ludendorff Bridge on Rhine river for us.
  • Nice baroque building.
  • Pretty building! Also to those like wet market - there're lots of shops opening everyday outside the building at the plaza.
  • Must see
  • Very nice town with great history. Especially from the time when Bonn was still the seat of the Government.
