  • Worth seeing, interesting, rewarding, instructive! Largest collection of Münchhausen publications. But: the Munchausen Movies DVDs can I not buy, a pity.

  • Very nice, modern museum with very dedicated guides. We went out again and again over the years. Our kids were excited, we adults were very satisfied. Beautifully restored and decorated building. Be sure to visit!

  • Very cute Museum. We had a great Narrator, which enlightened us about the true life of Baron Munchausen, but also Gwiazdowe stories to the best could be. He was very on my 6-year-old grandson.

  • Bodenwerder is a small town and municipality in the District of Holzminden in the German State of Lower Saxony which is protected by a Castle by the Weser River. The city has approximately 5700 inhabitants (2012), and is the capital of the County of Bodenwerder-Polle. In 1750 pulled Baron von Münchhausen retired to his estate here, and told his famous stories to his friends. He died in 1797 and his house was taken over by the city in 1935, and used as the Town Hall, and part is the Münchhausen Museum. In the Park in front of the Museum, as well as many places in the city, standing sculptures representing the Baron's "accomplishments". He was also a historical person. There are many old houses in the narrow paved alleys, and along the Weser, there is opportunity for a nice stroll.
