  • Nice small museum for the real fan of the world famous Baron of Münschhausen. During the summer months, a kind of satirical weekly acting performed by local theatre associations in which the Baron of course takes the lead

  • There are some, which is no wonder when the big family Munchausen museums! But who the original search of Münchhausen game, Münchhausen-Preis and the well known Münchhausen stories and succumbed to looking for wallpapers and the fascination of its stories, takes over 1150 book editions in 47 languages and illustrations from two centuries according to the instructions of the Museum here between March and October (!). And this just don't but a lavishly restored building near the Manor House of the blessed Hieronymus Carl Friedrich Freiherr von Münchhausen.

  • Very cute Museum. We had a great Narrator, which enlightened us about the true life of Baron Munchausen, but also Gwiazdowe stories to the best could be. He was very on my 6-year-old grandson.

  • Bodenwerder is a small town and municipality in the District of Holzminden in the German State of Lower Saxony which is protected by a Castle by the Weser River. The city has approximately 5700 inhabitants (2012), and is the capital of the County of Bodenwerder-Polle. In 1750 pulled Baron von Münchhausen retired to his estate here, and told his famous stories to his friends. He died in 1797 and his house was taken over by the city in 1935, and used as the Town Hall, and part is the Münchhausen Museum. In the Park in front of the Museum, as well as many places in the city, standing sculptures representing the Baron's "accomplishments". He was also a historical person. There are many old houses in the narrow paved alleys, and along the Weser, there is opportunity for a nice stroll.
