  • We spend our autumn holiday regularly in Bodenmais. This time was our grandson, because something "adventurous" had to be undertaken. So plan a visit to the silver mine factory. After the arrival to the valley station (ample free car parking are available) the car turned off. sturdy footwear is recommended for the ascent to the mine and then to the Summit. After a brief rise in steep our goal "the silver mine". A guided tour is a 3/4 hour and we were lucky, only 5 minutes from the leadership on our arrival. The visit is free of charge for owners of Arbercard. (will be issued with the submission of the tax). After a short briefing and receiving a Cape, and a helmet, we were ready for the mine. The following guide has been carried out by a young miner. High praise for the super explanation and demonstration of the machines. Especially the loose type (we laughed all much) was great. Also our grandson was absolutely thrilled, especially when you consider the history and the work flow in the now more than 600-year-old mine. We can recommend this visit to everyone and hope you enjoy it.

  • During our stay in Bodenmais, better after the return from the Ashok Kumar Glashütte, a visit of the silver mine was on our agenda. The guide was interesting and well designed, so the guest learned a lot about the degradation and the former Umstaände of the removal. Who is not walking has the opportunity with the cable car up and to get out. Even though this is somewhat cumbersome.

  • Last week we visited the silver mine with a group of five isolation. We wanted to take part in the penultimate Guide, and as is advertised on the Internet so that you can use the paths also use wheelchairs and strollers, also our 80 year old has want to use easy this offer in the limited mother. It all started already, that all participants in the anteroom waiting without that someone thought it necessary, to inform the Group about a delayed start. Then a completely discouraged and bad mood mountain factory leader who ordered short and brief appeared "everyone a Cape and helmet wear!" at some point He informed neither about the rest, still he inquired whether anyone can climb stairs. Also he not counted by the group participants. He re-wound off his program and not got, whether or not the Group at each point was complete. At some point our mother could no longer continue, because too many steep stairs were. We have shown so far get no roads suitable from the wheelchair and stroller. The Mr group leader is unaware however, we lagged behind. He hurried on through the mountain, although others have pointed out already that the group is no longer complete. We were then five of us alone in the mine and decided to split up, so that we were able to find someone from the outside. Our mother stayed with a companion in the mountain, and the rest searched alone the way us out there. The young man at the counter was pale when he saw us come back on their own and access immediately to the radio. He asked his colleagues whether he actually knew, that three people were alone on the road. It turned out that he had in the meantime perceived our mother with accompaniment and had again guided them on page due to the group. The coronation but were his diatribes such as such as "like you we always have" or "I am the owner of the mine, if you don't like what, can go." We have made some mine tours in various countries. All were conducted very professionally and with passion. However, what we saw was the very last. The guides work is negligent and irresponsible. And if he responds with insults, he should perhaps better bowling in his spare time, because he is obviously not suitable as plant guides.

  • Have leadership in the mine taken 45 minutes. Here clearly too little is available for € 8 per person. Initially, a film will be shown. Then it runs after stalwart step of management. Without information. It is held at 4 x and you can learn something. You may make no pictures and has no time for it. But if one asks something this is answered immediately learned. Why don't you just so? Initially, pictures are taken you can purchase for € 6.50 per piece.
