  • For a visit to the brewery of Bitburger reserve your best (by telephone) in advance. There are guided tours of an hour (+ time to some beers at the end) in five languages (German, English, French, Dutch, etc.). Your car you can park your car for free on the open air car park ' Bedaplatz ' less than a 10-minute walk away. The guided tour shows you first meet with the different generations that the brewery have developed into Germany's largest ' premium pilsner'-brewery. Then come the different ingredients (water, malt, hops, yeast) as well as the whole brewing process to the bottling. At each stage you get in addition to oral explanation also beautifully made movies to see. The whole setup is pretty integrated into the former Brewery (the current is a few kilometers below). At the ' whirlpool'-phase, as it were, take your place in a brewing cauldron. At the end of the tour there are tastings with wherever you can taste several beers that are not exportable. In addition you also get 3 more beer vouchers to, subsequently, by other Bitburger-partners even after enjoying a Pilsner beer. The old brewery and the city administration (Bitburger Stadthalle) sitting together: both buildings are linked to each other and the upper floors of the brewery are populated by civil servants. For those who expect a visit to a working brewery, will be disappointed, but the pleasant experience-tour that you placed here, attaches much good. A must to visit for a very reasonable price.
