  • My parents were already with us 40 years ago on the Kreuzberg, now I was with my own kids there and now we have our grandchildren. As they did, looking forward to good home-cooked food at very reasonable prices and spezialities beer. The variety of food has increased with time, but the atmosphere has not declined over the years. Great way to start or destination for walks for seniors, families with children, but also inveterate hiker. Good excellent trails available. Caution: The monastery has to determine times over several weeks in the year closed, advance information on the Internet.

  • Very nice and worth seeing walking journey monastery. The monastery is located just below the Summit and is accessible via various hiking trails, as well as by car or bus.

  • The venerable monastery of cross mountain in the Rhön is rel. high, but from the car park (€1.50) is approx. 10 minutes. Once at the top you should go into the beautiful chapel. Continue to many hiking trails are offered, light and short routes, up to demanding and also steep paths. Then you should reward yourself in the monastery restaurant itself. There are hearty and very tasty Bayr home-brewed beer. Kitchen (Hax'n, o' Batzer, roast pork, etc.) simply delicious. On the way back to the parking lot, you have a wonderful view of the Rhön Mountains. Bikers are very welcome!

  • Great food, great beer, beautiful views, and wonderful people. I can not wait to come back!
  • Possibly the best beer in the world. Really. Go. Now.
  • There is beer, then there is German beer, then there is this place! This place has the best! One other post says it best, liquid gold!
  • As a Kretzschmar Brew master I am inclined (pardon the pun) to cross great distances upon the Google Map to find such treasures. Of note is that my mothers maiden name Doris Kretzschmar told me of the Kloster Kreuzberg brand in a dream. Yeah it was a scary one too as this dream seemed very real. Probably because I fell asleep wearing that NEW Virtual Reality Headset gear that all the I.T. folks are raving about. In this dream I heard mom say "Richard.... be aware that IT exists." What's that mom I replied... and she explained that IT was the linguistic association of German - Italian to the G.I. track of the maker of GOD! Wow that's almost blasphemy to think that my RAK initials when paired with "Me" the plow star of the groß wagon are somehow related. The point being is I wet my pants just like the time I did when I was a kid when I fell asleep watching a rerun of Godzilla with my eyes open. And in this 360 degree 'movie' that I created and was kind enough to share here it's important to know that Kreuz means cross in German and Spitze means tip, so naturally todays cartography "Way of the Cross" is marked rather big on the Earth (2,185 m) if you care to look up Kreuzspitze. Now that's a robur (strength) Kreuzberg Kloster of asterisks' that point the way to the star clusters of a Taurus bull and Draco Dragon Beaver Spirit that feeds on "attraversare punta" octopus and crickets!
  • I Juan Moya Jr, One of the best place to drink some good beers in my us army days 1982! Have to go back soon!
