  • A wonderful place to rest your soul. Beautiful and picturesque place on the shore of the Lake and a wonderful Museum. The place is located at a distance from Munich and not very convenient for visits on their own (you'll need a Bavarian ticket for 23 euros for 1 person and 5 for each person plus up to 5 people apart from the main station, 40 then 20 minutes by foot. Weather permitting, this is a wonderful scenic walking outdoors) the museum itself is already a fine example of architectural thought , the hilly landscape and the Lake could not please the eye. Of course we went first of all because of the publicized temporary expositions of Hundertwasser, the distance we are not frightened, adult ticket cost 8.5 euros. Please note that the Museum is open during the winter (November to March) till 17.00 and during the summer until 18.00. Awaiting your visit! ;)

  • The Museum invites not only for bad weather. Constantly changing exhibitions and a good social events have helped that the Museum has become more varied.

  • Great museum with very nice pieces of art mostly German expressionists but also more modern pieces as well as african and asian art. The building is hanging over the lake and is simply beautiful. Love...  more »

  • The Museum was great and very interesting. The restaurant however.... Some of the rudest staff I have encountered in a long time. You really felt like the guests were nothing but an annoyance. The quality of the food was good though. But... hey waiters.... lighten up.
  • Modern art, different experience
  • Nice Museum in an interesting building. Some of the exhibits are interactive. Provides enough entertainment for children. The Museum was badly lit inside when we arrived, and only on demand lamps have been made. One negative point was the friendliness and flexibility of the Lady at the cash register. I bought a few souvenirs at the end (all figures of the same way). As I collect after asked if I could trade one of my selected figures against another, the Lady grimaced and told me it wasn't, but I could also buy the other figure.

  • You have to like modern art. Or just work on leave. The colors play, the characters read. Extremely child friendly site.
