Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Immerse yourself in the history and production of wine--and taste and buy a little, too--at Mosel Wein Museum, which is in one of Germany's oldest viticultural regions. The museum features an interactive foray into the world of wine, with a flight simulation over the valley and vineyards, an olfactory challenge at the aroma bar, and many artifacts and informational videos. For a single fee, taste any of the 150-plus wines available in the cellar to make a well-educated decision on what to purchase. To make the most of your tasting, start before lunch, and then enjoy a meal at the cafe for a small break before continuing. Take a look at our Bernkastel-Kues vacation builder to schedule your visit to Mosel Wein Museum and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Go to the wine cellar. 16 euros per person (September 2016), you can taste up to 160 regional wines. To do this, get a glass (bet € 2) and is sent into the wine cellar. There the wine shelf to shelf are stacked dutifully numbered. On the wall there is a short description of the wineries and the respective drop. Read number you choose the appropriate bottle from the cooling and costs unattended to your hearts content. Water is also present, trifles like bread or cheese are brought against extra charge. All bottles are also priced, you simply grabs the personal winners in the available bottle baskets after completed test and takes her upstairs to the numbers. A super concept, you can buy here really cheap good wines and for almost no money in the coma drink himself, if you want to taste every wine at least once. The latter is not an option, then it will be difficult: there is a list of available wines while on demand, but on the subject of advice is unfortunately absent. "I unfortunately not so know about wine" is a phrase that we found very surprising in a wine cellar, and that this deduction is worth 2 points. We have still a few good wines to take with Riesling wines found, but in a rather unknown for us wine region with about 70% had we liked much more guidance. So: Offer hui, consulting Ugh!

  • We were many times in the Wine Museum and have let us never miss the opportunity to visit the wonderful wine collection and of course also to try. The choice is clearly described and sorted. If not here pssendes is found, then where? It is always an experience, through, grape varieties, layers, to taste wine methods and quality levels different!
