  • Nice area, we recommend a visit especially with children. Shame about the many areas under construction (so no animals) but still worth visiting. Clean and with different bar areas. Recommend a visit.

  • Enjoyed going here, years since I went to a zoo! Animals don't particularly interest me but this zoo has pretty much every animal going, when all parts are open. Was a little annoyed at not getting a ...  more »
  • If you are in Berlin and love to go to the park or Zoo-visit. 1. If you compare with the Moscow-territory five times larger and much more animal species and each kind of animal times in five more, it is actually so. A huge number of different species. (Even an outdoor aviary with penguins, which I was able to Pat when they advanced))) Yet chic outdoor aviary at the Hippo, which vynirivaet from the water with an open mouth is impressive. 2. On this territory very nice walk, both national park-Botanical Garden, an incredible amount of greenery, autumn many cozy places, bridges, ponds, sculptures, benches. 3. Many outdoor cafes, where looking at animals can take a meal (or buy a glass of wine)) 4. Close to the city centre-I went by bus from Potsdamer Platz, 10-15 5 minutes. Children's Zoo there too you can sit together with goats and feed them) summary-for 5 days in Berlin I have twice visited the Zoo one day bypass all unreal

  • The zoo was better then any Canadian Zoo I have visited. It was easy to navigate with the provided map. We were there for 4 hours and only saw 1/3 of what the zoo had to offer. Most of the outdoor areas the animals are on the other side of a large gorge/drop. There is very little fencing in the way. You get to see the animals fairly closely and safely. There are also inner areas if the animals are inside and not outside when you are there. We saw every animal we went there to see. There were also lots of baby animals to watch. What a great zoo for the young and old!
  • Berlin Zoo was actually a surprise and more enjoyable than I expected. Could easily spend quite a number of hours. The exhibits may not be as good as some more modern zoos but still there is a lot of effort made to make the animals as accessible as possible.
  • Wonderful zoo and very nicely laid out. Looked like they were doing lots of improvements as well and also getting pandas. The aquarium is also very well laid out. Fantastic jelly fish (apparently it's very hard to show jellyfish in a tank) worth checking out.
  • Best Zoo I've ever been to. Visited with my fiancé (we're both 21) and we really enjoyed ourselves. Only disappointment was that we only left ourselves 4 hours to do it in. This zoo could easily take up 6- especially with children. Animals all seem very well cared for and the feeding shows were great to watch (commentary only in German). Very reasonably priced for in the restaurants and the entry was good value too. Not to be missed on a trip to Berlin. Highly Recommended!
  • Wide range of animals that seem to be cared for the best way possible (considering that it is a Zoo). The wide walkways and the abundance of trees make it a nice, relaxing place. I personally expected the aquarium to be bigger, but it is also a nice part of the Zoo (and it can be accessed independently). Food options are relatively affordable and not bad. The entrance fee is fair, and they offer student discounts.
