  • A zoo for adults and children. I have been many times before with my kindergarten there and spent sometimes a whole day there, because there were so much to see it. The monkey house with the cute Capuchin monkey and the silver neck (giant gorillas) or the Rauptierhaus with the Lions, Tigers, cheetahs and Panthers, which smells very summer. Then the many penguins and seals and sea lions in the outdoor pool. There are also many demonstrations, worth a visit just for children. A large play area with great restaurant opposite the former Eisbärengehäges of Knut. There is so much to see: giraffes, enormous elephants and rhinos. A Petting Zoo is where you feed each animal area and touch. There are goats, sheep, geese, ducks, pigs, dwarf horses there. The Zoo has many benches that you can watch just the animals and the hustle and bustle, the feeding. The Zoo is worth a visit anyway.

  • This zoo was very enjoyable however we missed out on seeing any birds due to bird flu which is understandable. Good day out and great value for money.

  • I've been to zoos in Dublin, Blackpool and Chester, South Lakes Safari, and Berlin was by far the best of all. It's a shame to see animals in captivity, but the facilities were excellent. I liked the variety of animals. There was so much to see, it took hours to get around and was good exercise. I really enjoyed the bird house.
  • A great day out for the whole family, with an extensive collections of animal, birds, reptiles and marine life. There were food preparation areas, where you could watch the food/dietary requirements of the animals being prepared. Plenty of places to sit, rest, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. A must see if you are in Berlin, ranging from children to adults, with very low or no walls so even small children could see into most of the animal enclosures, and access for wheelchair users is excellent. Perfect day out for all the family
  • The Zoo is huge. We spent around 5 - 6 hours walking in it and we didn't get to see it all. Very nice for kids. We were two adults in their late 20s and we just loved it. Many animals have a lot of space to wander freely. I would come back here since it's very informative.
  • Most amazing zoo I've ever been to. The grounds are gorgeous and you can get incredibly close to the animals due to the zoo's brilliant trench and moat barrier system. Wish I could have stayed longer!
  • Fantastic Zoo! Beautifully maintained and gorgeously staged scenes for each exhibit. A highlight is the free ranging goats area where you can pet and hand feed them. Also, the playground is huge and keep young kids occupied for hours!
