  • Earlier, the Warsaw straks led to the wall, the neighborhood was quiet, gastronomy there was comparatively little. How much life is there today! How to get there? Also goes best with the S - Bahn, tram or U - Bahn to Warschauer Brücke. Just take the car! Throughout the day, storage, parking spaces are rare! Unfortunately station being rebuilt currently the S - so you have to take longer routes and also dirt in purchase. Tags: do cafés, bistros, small businesses and shops, walk to the bridge! At the Friedrichshain bridgehead a small passage, if you make, to get in a lovingly refurbished original workers residential area with interesting architecture and good mix business/residential. Of course don't forget: East Side Gallery. In the evening: everyone will find some pubs, bars, discos. I also believe that the real avant-garde is already gone and the Commerz is spreading, but still everything is still pretty originally, it now cleaner than a few years ago. But: Where many people are traveling, happened even more. It is not dangerous here definitely, but like in every city it should provide for by pickpockets, especially.

  • This street changed my view on the world. So much culture, so much beauty, so much art in one place.  more »
  • Excellent area of Berlin, which can be reached by means of U-Bahn or S-Bahn from the center of the city. All clubs and bars are in this area, so it is advisable to go at night. However, I also recommend go since day that you can have very nice views of the river Spree. At night the area young people is filled

  • Overcrowded place. There is a new train station in construction though. Can be a bit dangerous or "uncomfortable" at the weekends by night. There are lots of dealers hanging around (which are mostly harmless), tourists who just want to get stupidly drunk, and lots of homeless and punks hanging around asking for money.
  • starting to hate this area. had to start walking on the other bridge side because random assholes beat up people there, homophobic and touristic mania. also, now they start to build a shopping mall across. its a terrible outlook for the locals and a shame for the face of Berlin. a reason to move to another area of town.
  • Lots of tourists and drug dealers (non of them you have to be scared)
  • Actually pretty ugly, but a great atmosphere on weekends. Many people from all over the world.
  • The feeling of security is unfortunately only rarely available at this place, but the memories make on earlier however great this unique place. You meet different people, many street musicians, the quantity of juveniles from the subway to the Sbahn and vice-versa. Anyway you get live and in color the crime, which causes an unpleasant feeling. Also the increasing police presence would not necessarily cause in me a feeling of security.
