  • Nice Park for walking or jogging. Green spot in the middle of the city. With the old anti-aircraft bunker, there is also a vantage point with a beautiful view over Berlin.

  • Lovely park. The flak tower was a life long dream to see. In reality it was somewhat of a disappointment. I imagine I was just a victim of my own expectations. There is a tour place just across the road that do tours of the tower in the warmer months.
  • Beautiful and nice park, for chilling, relaxing, doing sports, getting to the top to enjoy the nice view of the city.. Worth a visit.
  • This is a beautiful park close to public transport. I visited during January and it was very pleasant. There's a play area for children, as well as plenty of space to jog or take your dog. Beautiful in winter.
  • Humboldthain is one of the biggest and most beautiful parks in the district of Wedding. There are a lot of opportunities for fun activities — there is a public pool, playgrounds for kids, climbing centre on the facade of on old bunker, wine gardens and more. There is a lot to do and to explore in this huge green oasis. The Rose Garden at Humboldthain Park is probably one of the most precious gardens of the city and due to its secluded location on the side of the park surroundend by thick forest and with only one gated entrance it’s pretty much a hidden gem that a lot of people in Berlin don’t even know about. Only accessible in the summer time the garden hosts a wide range of different roses arranged in beautiful Victorian garden structures with as many romantic scenarios you can dream of. There are also other types of flowers on a little hill facing the Flak Tower.
  • The park is located on a hill hence you can view Berlin skylines at zero cost. There is a cool bridge entry to the park as well.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
