  • Great place to have a walk and also explore the neighborhood a bit. Since you are there, don't miss Bergmannstrasse and Marheineke Markthalle. Too bad the waterfall in the park is dry during winter da...  more »
  • I had explored the neighborhood of Bergmannkiez many times and managed to miss this place altogether. This is an old park with a strange bronze memorial atop a hill related to Napoleonic times. The pa...  more »
  • This park is definitely worth a visit. From the monument on top you have a really good views of the area. Beautiful waterfall.

  • A beautiful park tucked away in the middle of Berlin. There is a wonderful cascade of water from the statue all the way down to the street that makes the city disappear. Climbing all the way up to the monument gives you a view overall of Berlin and is the perfect place to sit while the sunsets. There is also a nice playground for children.
  • Beautiful. Been here quite a couple of times, not just because I love it, but because you always find some new hidden corners. The place is huge; the first time I visited it I didn't even find the waterfall! It has great hiking potential, great views from the top, and hills with nothing but grass to chill while watching the sunset. Top!
  • The waterfall was dry when I went in early December, but the views are great. There's also a memorial at the top that's worth viewing. Not a priority if you're staying a couple days in Berlin but definetely an interesting spot to visit if you want to take a few shots of the south-eastern part of the city.
  • I initially dismissed this park as being small and having an artificial waterfall, but that waterfall is actually centuries old and beautifully made. The park itself is uphill so that makes it more interesting. I caught a nice view of the water stream leading to the carlights on the road.
  • Beautiful park and waterfall and many more views for photos and good in summer for couple for visit and can spend time together

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
