Saunter down the tree-lined paths of one of Berlin's most well-known boulevards, Unter den Linden. Comprising the grassy pedestrian area between two roadway lanes, the street stretches east to west from the Stadtschloss royal palace through the historic city center. Along the way, you'll find historic monuments, trendy shops, and traditional cafes. Visit the street's oldest structure, the Zeughaus, to admire fine Baroque architecture. Then tour the German Historical Museum before ending your walk at the notorious 18th-century Brandenburg gate. If you visit in the early summer months, you'll be able to see the linden trees in full bloom. Plan your visit to Unter den Linden and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Berlin vacation builder.

  • Main road and very popular part of the city of Berlin, the Brandenburg Gate and arrive in Alexanderplatz, formed large pedestrian walkway lined with centrally by a Linden trees (= Linden) and both sides are moving the cars in their designated roadways. Ideal for walking around at night because there is less traffic.

  • An unsightly boulevard marked by lots of traffic and metro construction. Lime-trees disappear entirely in horror sena. Found the other streets of the city there were significantly more beautiful with trees on all sides
