  • Great Zoo with lots of walking involved. Kids loved running from one enclosure to the next. Great picnic spots available. Only downside is that the toilets are quiet a distance apart - not ideal with ...  more »
  • I loved to zoo because there are a lot of animals and the subway is right next to the zoo, but there is no playground for children; which is a shame for a beautiful zoo. What I liked most is that the zoo can expand easily and accommodate a lot of new animals. There's not a lot of animations.

  • This Wildlife Park surprises with his absence, very often, barriers or wire mesh. Suddenly, the promenade is peaceful. It is the largest animal park in Europe. There are many different animals, enough for a whole day. We attended the distribution of food polar bears and giraffes, (there are a lot of RV of this sort, spread over the day, depending on the species), the spectacle of the raptors (great; the kids were able to caress a!), we went to Petting goats, a lemur in their space, and we visited a castle. We also spent a long time in the play area for children (there are two, which a with water). The only thing we could not do, it's take the free electric train, for lack of time, the day went too fast. All this for 35 euros for 2 adults and 3 children, it is modest and yet the Park is in perfect condition. The kids wanted more from at night to 6:30 pm to closing!

  • Great place to spent a day on the weekend at. It really differs much to a regular zoo, being more authentic, untouched and close to the nature. Still being a place where animals are kept partly in cages, they do seem to be treated well and the animals are partly mixed, like in the wild nature. The property is huge, so perfect for a great walk. There are many famalies around and plenty of places to rest, eat, relax at. I really liked the place and will visit it for sure again. The prices are fair!
  • Took the children to this Zoo as we were told it was much much better than the zoo in the Berlin city. It truly was. A fun day was had by both adults and children alike.
  • You do not feel like it's a zoo. The most of barriers between people and animals are not fences but ponds. There is a huge playground for children, special places for lunch and I have seen one cafeteria.
  • Quite a large zoo. Came on a sunny day in January 2017. Really enjoyed the tigers, monkeys, and young bears. Some of the birds (penguins and flamingoes) were hidden away as it is winter and also they were worried about avian flu, but some owls and cranes are still out. The crocodile house is currently closed and the lion enclosure is being rebuilt so there are no lions at the zoo at the moment. Still plenty of other animals including elephants, giraffes and many types of ungulates.
  • Best place, but i feel sorry for animals they have stres to much😢

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
