  • We were with our dog and here on a sunny Saturday. When I saw the queue in front of the Zoo, and the crowd behind the entrance, I would be driving like again. Luckily we stayed! The Zoo is so extensive and feels partly rather like in the Woods, so spread the people very well. Except in urban areas (food, toilet, entrance) is it even on Saturdays quiet and relaxed. Our dog loved that he could be. I lacked waste bags for dogs (went me into Berlin everywhere) and I felt the deals at the snack bar was quite overpriced and little tasty. Take yourself a picnic :)

  • We arrived mid-morning and these avenues already primed to blow up the new green sprout transmits joy. A large park, very nice organized right from the entrance, suitable for all ages, You can travel kilometres in the middle of a luxuriant vegetation. Many of the animals in pens and also in the free State in places "dealt with" very very fascinating and educational for those accompanying children. The adults anyway is good resume awareness of flora and fauna. A large restaurant with 3 halls where everyone can find to satisfy their taste buds. Also the prices are very reasonable, given the place. The next chance I want to redo a full lush season. Us adults loved it!!!

  • We were five people with an infant of three years in the animal park. What great is that there are many outdoor enclosure and you have not the feeling, that the animals behind bars are just an animal park and a zoo. In the comparison to the Zoo the animals are not seen in the Zoo, can be found here z.B the Siberian Tiger, the java leopard, Snow Leopard. The feeding of monkeys was funny and you could lemurs from up close look. Even the elephants are great, there are even very many, ca. 10-12 African and Asian. We found it great and admission €9 for students, or €12 for adults is perfectly alright. Liked it also super small. :)

  • A nice zoo Lot's of Green spots, a beautiful palace and garden at the entrance making this zoo unique, the animals look happy and vital, if you go with children it is important to rent a small wagon (ask the cashier) making it fun for the little ones. it is also highly recommended to bring bathing suits for the kids as there is a water playground in the park. there is also a nice restaurant in the park but the prices are not so comfortable for example if you buy a sausage you pay something like 4€ but you get nothing with it, any extra that you want you pay separately even the ketchup, so plan something like 15€ per person if you want to eat and drink well. For the visit You should plan near about 4-5 hours in your schedule.
  • It's a great zoo, easy to get to as it has its own station and to top it all off: the grounds are so large and green that you forget you're in the city. I spent 5 hours here and still didn't quite manage to see everything
  • Went there on Nov 12, 2016. What I loved: elephants, tigers, polar bear, free mini train ride, trees & parks, the tropical zone Edit: Oh, and there's a beautiful castle inside it :) Feedback: More English descriptions, staff can be more interactive & helpful to guests, orang utans would be a great collection addition
  • I was in Berlin Zoo a few week´s ago and it was not really special. One main bad thing for me was that you see all the time big buildings around the zoo, so you never get a relax feeling, it is all cramped. Yesterday I visited the first time Tierpark Berlin and I was really surprised. It is bigger and you have more space, no big buildings around, just nature. Amazing. The predator-house was my highlight, I had never seen before five swimming tiger, impressive. If you have to decide between these both, I would recommend to choose Tierpark Berlin.
  • "The best zoo we've been to". Stated by my wife so it must be the truth. We spent 5 hours here with fluent ease.
