  • A lovely surprise for an afternoon museum trip! The museum is not located in the busy district. It also looks small from the outside, but we spent more than 2 hours exploring it. The walking tour of the bunker is definitely the highlight! You can choose to get an English tour as well.
  • Excellent private collection museum located in a popular location. The visit to the bunker is worth the admission alone. Tours to the bunker last 30 minutes you can exit and re-enter the museum if you arrive early. The rest of the museum is very interesting without looking stuffy. The set out allows you to follow a main theme and visit rooms with exhibits alongside. You could spend half a day to 2 hours here looking through the collection. Worth a visit if you want a 400 year history of Berlin in one building. Thumbs up from me.
  • The museum is vast and covers the entire history of Berlin leading up to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Every room is furnished with a lot of careful attention to detail. Ambient effects create the appropriate atmosphere for each chapter of history. The fallout shelter is also worth a visit and helps visualising the dread of a constant threat of thermonuclear war.
  • Been there twice, and surprisingly the experience was quite distinct, given the guides that got us to the shelter, both positives but with completely different perspectives whether people would survive or not a nuclear blast or not. The tour is also quite interesting.
  • I have to agree with some of the comments. I wasn't too impressed. Visually really nice, but the story (captions) a bit chaotic and not easy to follow. I didn't feel like I left with a lot more knowledge than I came with. The part that disappointed me was the bunker tour. The guide started out with saying that the nuclear bunker could never be used and they already knew it at the time they built it (not deep enough). So what is the point then?
